In Loving Memory of Katelyn LeBlanc

Opelousas—Memorial Services for Katelyn Adams LeBlanc will be held 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Our Savior’s Church in Opelousas. Reverend Kevin Lalonde will officiate the service. Graveside services and inurnment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas.

A Memorial Gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, in Our Savior’s Church, 202 Our Savior’s Church Blvd., Opelousas, LA, 70570. On Thursday, the Memorial Gathering will continue from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. in the church.

Katelyn LeBlanc, age 34, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, LA.

There are some people whose presence changes every room they enter, whose kindness leaves a lasting imprint on every heart they meet, and whose love reflects something far greater than themselves. Katelyn LeBlanc was one of those rare people.

Above all else, Katelyn loved Jesus Christ. He was the center of her life, the source of her strength, and the reason she loved so deeply. Her faith was not something she simply professed. It was something she lived every single day. Whether serving others, encouraging a friend, comforting a stranger, or pouring herself into her family, Katelyn’s life was a beautiful reflection of God’s grace. She loved her Lord and Savior with her whole heart, and because of that, she loved people the same way.

With profound sadness, yet unwavering hope in the promise of eternal life, we announce that Katelyn has gone home to be with the Lord she loved so faithfully.

Katelyn was the beloved wife of Dusty LeBlanc. Their marriage was built on faith, friendship, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to one another. She was his greatest blessing, his constant encouragement, his safe place, and the love of his life.

She was also the devoted mother of Monroe, Penelope, IvyRose, and Opal. To her girls, she was everything. She celebrated every milestone, wiped every tear, prayed every prayer, and loved with a fierceness that only a mother can understand. Her greatest accomplishment was not found in a classroom, a title, or an achievement. It was the beautiful family she nurtured with endless patience, gentleness, and unconditional love.

As an educator, Katelyn believed every child deserved to be seen, valued, and believed in. She had a remarkable gift for reaching children not only through lessons but through compassion. She never stopped encouraging, never stopped believing, and never stopped giving pieces of herself to help others become who God created them to be. The countless students whose lives she touched will forever carry a part of her legacy.

To know Katelyn was to experience genuine kindness. She was the kind of person who noticed the one standing alone, who remembered the little things, who quietly carried the burdens of others without ever asking for recognition. Her beauty was never defined by appearance, though she was beautiful in every sense of the word. Her greatest beauty came from her heart. It radiated through her smile, her gentle spirit, her servant’s heart, and the way she made every person feel loved.

While our hearts are broken beyond words, we do not grieve without hope. We find comfort in knowing that the woman who faithfully followed Christ throughout her life now stands in His presence, hearing the words every believer longs to hear: “Well done, good and faithful servant.”

Katelyn leaves behind her loving husband, Dusty; her treasured daughters, Monroe, Penelope, IvyRose, and Opal; her parents, Ronald Adams and Liddy Langlois Adams; her brother, Daniel Adams; and sister, Maggie Smith (Tylus); along with family, friends, students, and countless others whose lives are forever better because they knew her.

Heaven gained a faithful servant, but this world lost one of its brightest lights. Though her voice is now silent, her love will echo through generations. We will see her in the kindness we show one another, in the faith she instilled in her children, in the lives she changed, and in the promise that, because of Jesus Christ, this goodbye is not forever.

Until we meet again, we will love you always.

Katelyn’s warmth, kindness, and dedication to her loved ones will be remembered fondly by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will carry her memory forward with love and gratitude.
