Ka’Mya J’Nae Savoy, of Opelousas, Louisiana, passed away on October 27, 2026, at Lafayette General Hospital. She was born on September 14, 2023, in Opelousas, and in her brief but radiant life brought delight, color, and unmistakable joy to those around her.

Ka’Mya had a bright, playful spirit that shone in the things she loved most. She delighted in playing dress-up and experimenting with makeup, turning ordinary moments into something imaginative and full of sparkle. She enjoyed dancing and singing, and her happiness could be felt in the energy she brought to every song and every movement. She loved taking pictures, preserving her sweet presence in smiles and playful poses that will be cherished always. Light Purple was her favorite color, a fitting reflection of the vivid and lively light she carried. When it came to sweets chocolate was her first choice. Her favorite song was “Let It Go,” and she also had a special love for frogs and chickens, small favorites that made her world uniquely her own.

Though her time here was far too short, Ka’Mya’s life was filled with personality, wonder, and affection. She leaves behind precious memories of laughter, music, imagination, and the simple, beautiful ways a child can brighten every heart around her.

Ka’Mya is survived by her parents Jon’Derriun Savoy and Courtney Williams; sister, Jad’Lynn Savoy; maternal grandparents, Nira Gay and Carl Hardy; maternal great-grandmother, Norma Leday; paternal grandparents, Latisha Bell and Jon Savoy; godmother, Jasmine Roberts; godfather and uncle, Kevondre Bias; aunts, Kyra “ T.T.” Williams, Armonie Hockless, Destiny Young, La’Kiarah Savoy, La’Jhyria Savoy; uncles, TyRee Bracy, Cobey Williams, Devon “Unc D” Anders, Andrew Valyan, James Malveaux and Ka’Miere Collins; cousins, Devon “D.J.” Anders, Jr., Deon “Bean” Anders and Ca’Zyn Hooker; and a host of extended family.

Ka’Mya was preceded in death by her grandfather, Roland Gay; and her aunt, Alexia Joubert.

Pallbearers will be Cobey Williams, Devon Anders, James Malveaux and Kevondre Bias.

May she be remembered for her sweetness, her playful charm, and the joy she so naturally gave. Her memory will remain a tender and lasting gift to all who loved her.
