Opelousas Memorial services for Mrs. Joyce L. Arceneaux, 72, will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2006, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel.
br
Mrs. Arceneaux died on Sunday, July 30, 2006, at 10:20 a.m. at her daughters residence in Opelousas. She was a native of Superior, Wisconsin, and a past resident of Carencro. She was a horse breeder and the former brush track owner of San Souci Downs in Opelousas. She was a hardworking woman and her life was dedicated to horses.

Mrs. Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
br
Survivors include: one daughter, Cynthia Roy of Opelousas; one sister, Judy Greer of Osceola, Wisconsin; four grandchildren: Sean Summers of Cape Cod, Massachusetts; Rae Jean Love of Baton Rouge; Michael Roy and Marcy Balthazar, both of Opelousas; and six great-grandchildren: London Summers, Maxwell Summers, and Brett Summers, all of Cape Cod, MA; Gabriel Baker and Billy Baker, both of Baton Rouge; and Zane Michael Roy of Opelousas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Selvin and Dorothy Wagner Todahl; and one daughter, Peggy Love.

Visiting hours will be observed from 5:30 p.m. until the time of services in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas.
