Joseph Emery Frere Landry, Sr.

Grand Coteau Funeral services for Mr. Joseph Emery Frere Landry, Sr. ,72, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2007, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Grand Coteau. Interment will follow in the St. Charles Cemetery. Father Lambert will officiate the services.

Mr. Landry was a native of Beaumont, TX, and a resident of Lafayette. He died on Wednesday, October 3, 2007, in the Courtyard Manor of Lafayette. He was a truck driver for many years.

Survivors include one son, Joseph Emery Landry, Jr. of Sunset; one step son, Mike Plaisance and fianc, Aline Malagarie of Lafayette; one daughter, Debra Landry of Lake Charles; three step-daughters: Verna Arceneaux of Breaux Bridge; Vickie Plaisance of Lafayette; and Debra Plaisance of Egan; one brother, Nelson Landry, Sr. and fianc, Candy Ash of McAllen, TX; one sister, Vivian Guidry of Carencro; brother-in-law, Dennis Touchet of New Iberia; 2 grandchildren, 9 step grandchildren, 8 step-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Landry was preceded in death by his wife, Edmae Touchet Landry; his parents: Harold Coon Landry and Regina Morin Landry; daughter-in-law, Lynette Landry; stepdaughter, Judy P. Dwyer; step grandson, Tommy Plaisance; and brother-in-law, Preston J. Guidry, Sr.

Visiting hours will be observed on Wednesday, October 3, 2007, from 6 p.m. -9 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Grand Coteau. On Thursday, visitation will continue in the funeral home from 8 a.m. - time of services.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
