PORT BARRE- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Joanna Robin on Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at 12:00 noon in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Port Barre. Fr. Darren Eldridge will celebrate the Mass. Visitation will be held in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Port Barre on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass; the rosary will be recited at 11:00 a.m. by Myra Duplechain. Rite of Committal will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Joanna Robin, a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026, at J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home, surrounded by her loving family.

Throughout her life, Joanna was a constant source of love and inspiration to those who knew her. As a mother, she embraced the role wholeheartedly, nurturing and guiding her children with compassion and understanding. As a grandmother, her devotion only deepened, and she found great joy in spending time with her grandchildren, imparting wisdom and sharing laughter. Her presence was a source of comfort and strength, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of her family members.

Joanna is survived by her husband, Donald Robin of Port Barre; sons, Paul LaCombe and wife Sonya of Eunice and Todd Robin and wife Jessica of Port Barre; daughter, Sharon Taylor and husband Robbie of Port Barre; brother, Richard Lafleur of Crenshaw, MS; sister, Moral Ortego and husband Larry of Grand Prairie; grandchildren, Abigail Saucier, Allyn Clause, Jacob LaCombe, Blair Durham, Hunter Taylor, Kirsten Taylor, Tre’ Fusilier, Blaire Fontenot, Camden Robin and Caitlyn Robin; 7 great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Joanna is preceded in death by her grandson, Caleb James Robin; her parents, Lee and Ivy Lafleur; and her sister, Tessie Frost.

Pallbearers will be Todd Robin, Camden Robin, Jacob LaCombe, Hunter Taylor, Robbie Taylor and Paul LaCombe.

The family would like to acknowledge J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home staff for their exceptional care of Joanna during her time with them, especially her B Hall family.
