Jo Ann Miller

Port Barre– A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Jo Ann Guillory Miller on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 12:00 noon in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Port Barre. Visitation will be held in the church from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon; the rosary will be recited at 11:30 a.m. Fr. Clint Trahan will celebrate the Mass. Readers will be Freddie Fontenot and Sheri Cormier. Gift bearers will be Kye Miller, Jillian Fontenot and Anna Kate Thibodeaux. Musical selections will be performed by Cindy Lafleur. Rite of Committal will take place in the church cemetery.

Jo Ann, a resident of Port Barre, entered into eternal rest at the age 68, on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Jo Ann was a devoted catholic and parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Port Barre. She enjoyed going to the casino and playing bingo with her friends. Jo Ann cherished time with her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jo Ann is survived by her son, Marcus Miller and wife, Margaret of Houston, TX; daughters, Lori Fontenot and husband, Chris of Arnaudville, Lainey Thibodeaux and fiancé, Ross Bertrand of Port Barre; her significant other, James Guidroz of Port Barre; sisters, Roma Miller and husband, Lloyd of Port Barre, Denise Terracina and husband, Kent of Port Barre; 8 grandchildren, Jaci Miller, Ryan Miller, Kye Miller, Jillian Fontenot, Caroline Fontenot, Natalie Jo Fontenot, Anna Kate Thibodeaux, Brecken Thibodeaux; and great-granddaughter, Adalyn Culbreth.

Jo Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Miller; parents, Essie and Lorena Guillory; and brother, Wayne Guillory.

Pallbearers will be James Guidroz, Marcus Miller, Chris Fontenot, Ross Bertrand, Lloyd Miller and Cody Muir.
