Joan Guillory

Opelousas-A Funeral Service will be held for, Ms. Joan Guillory, at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2017, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, LA. Deacon Dwayne Joubert will conduct the service. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Ms. Guillory, age 57, a resident of Opelousas, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2017, at Opelousas General Health System surrounded by her loving family. Joan loved spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. She was a very spiritual woman who was strong in her faith and prayed daily. Joan enjoyed writing beautiful poems that her family will forever treasure. She was an amazing caregiver who took pride in taking care of everyone especially her elders. She will be remembered as a sweet, kind, giving and passionate woman. She will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her parents, Louis John and Emma Guillory; her son, Justin Guillory and fiancé, Kimberly LeCroix; her daughter, Julia Guillory; her partner, Milton Courville; her brothers, Kent Guillory and wife, Annette, Jonathan Jeris Guillory and wife Karissa; her sisters, Lori Guillory Venable and fiancé, Kevin, Tina Guillory Fink and husband, George, Rachel Guillory Bourque and husband, Kendal; her grandchildren, Logan and Jamie Guillory, Gracie and Lilly Brockwell and Melonie Guillory.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Moise and Agnes Lanclos; her paternal grandparents, John Louis and Agnes Guillory; and her first cousins, Andre Ariza, Michael Lanclos and Julie Lanclos.

The family requests visitation be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas. A Rosary Service will be prayed by Deacon Dwayne Joubert at 5:30 p.m. The funeral home will reopen on Thursday at 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Logan LeCroix, Justin Guillory, Kent Guilloy, Jonathan Guillory, Adam Venable, Colby Venable and Spencer Venable.
