Jerrald Guillory

Jerrald Guillory, a beloved man known for his kindheartedness, passed away on February 1, 2024 at the Calcutta House in Lafayette.  Jerrald lived a life filled with love and compassion for everyone he encountered. 

Jerrald had an impressive career in the oilfield industry. He dedicated many years to this field before retiring and joining Deluxe Check Printers Company in Atlanta, Georgia. With his strong work ethic and unwavering determination, he made a lasting impact throughout his professional journey.

Beyond his career achievements, Jerrald found immense joy in pursuing his hobbies. Fishing was one of his greatest passions, allowing him to enjoy the beauty of nature and find solace in its tranquility. The peaceful moments spent by the water brought him great happiness.

One of Jerrald's proudest accomplishments was the love he shared with his grandchildren. He adored them with all his heart and cherished every moment spent together. His role as a grandparent brought him indescribable joy and left a lasting impression on their lives.

Jerrald's warm personality and kind nature endeared him to everyone he met. He had a beautiful heart that touched the lives of all who knew him. His love knew no bounds, and his presence brought comfort and happiness to those around him.

Jerrald will be deeply missed by his loved ones. He is survived by his wife, Ethel Broussard Guillory, daughter, Resa Guillory Chappell of Lafayette, son, Jimmie "Chuck" Stoute of Baton Rouge; grandchildren Lana Latiolais (husband Josh Meche), Cole Griffith, Cailyn Chappell;  sister-in-law, Carol Guillory of Atlanta, Georgia; niece Gwen Guillory Willingham; as well as many extended family members and friends whose lives were enriched by his presence.

Jerrald is preceded in death by his parents, Delman and Evelyn Arnaud Guiillory, brother, Cary Guillory.

Services to honor Jerrald's life will be held on February 5, 2024. Visitation will take place from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM with Pastor Andrew Fridelle of Riverside Church of Christ in Lafayette, officiating, at Sibille Funeral Home located at 2309 George Drive, Opelousas, LA, 70570. A funeral service will follow at the same location from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM. Jerrald will then be laid to rest at the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington, Louisiana, with burial ceremonies beginning at 3:00 PM.

During this difficult time, let us remember the joy and love that Jerrald brought into our lives. May his kind spirit and warm smile live in our hearts forever.
