Jed Robert Booth

Opelousas --A Memorial Service will be held for Jed Robert Booth on Sunday, April 30, 2023, with visitation starting at 3:00 p.m. and a memorial service at 4:00 p.m. to be officiated by Pastor Steven Bowen at the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas.  

Jed, a resident of Opelousas, entered into eternal rest on April 23, 2023, at the age of 37. Jed served his country proudly while in the Marine Corps from 2003 until 2014, serving several tours overseas. He served as an Aircraft Communications/ Navigation Electrical/ Weapon System Technician, V-22. Jed was awarded the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Navy Unit Commendation, Certificate of Appreciation (3 Awds), Letter of Appreciation (2 Awds), and the Rifle Qualification Badge (Expert). He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Jed is survived by his loving wife of 7 years, Megan Booth, of Opelousas. His greatest joy in life were his four children, Hayden, William, Atticus and Andrew Booth of Opelousas. He is also survived by his mother Michelle Thomason of Omaha, Nebraska, paternal grandmother, Geri Booth, of Florida, maternal grandfather, James Thomason of Las Vegas, Nevada, and sister, Jeanette Stickney, of Omaha Nebraska.

Jed is preceded in death by his loving sister, Jessica Booth.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to help with future expenses for his children.
