Jeanette Veillon Bellard

OPELOUSAS- Mrs. Jeanette V. Bellard, 86, widow of Mr. Frank Bellard Sr., passed away Saturday, August 15, 2026, in the Piedmont / Augusta Hospital in Georgia.

A Graveside Service will be held in the Bellevue Memorial Park of Opelousas, LA on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Chad Norman.

Mrs. Bellard was born in Oberlin, LA, but had lived in Thomson for several years.

She was a Homemaker and she was a member of Union Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter Brenda (Clay) Gunby; her son, Kenneth Bellard Sr. Her two sisters, Joyce Johnson and Mildred Rozas; her 4 grandchildren, Vic (Alexis) English, Devin Smith, Russell (Megan) Gunby Jr., and Amy Gunby; and her great-grandson, Danson Smith.

The family request that donations be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
