Jarvis Anthony Doucet

Port Barre – A Christian Mass will be held for Jarvis Anthony Doucet on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Fr. Clint Trahan will celebrate the Mass. Visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. until time of mass with a Rosary at 9:30 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre.

Anthony, age 64, a resident of Port Barre, entered into eternal rest on July 7, 2023. At his home with his loving family by his side. He was an avid outdoorsman, whose hobbies included hunting and fishing. He enjoyed setting hoop nets and crawfish traps which he crafted by hand. He also enjoyed tending to his crawfish pond in his back yard. He loved spending time at his camp with his loved ones cooking for his family and friends.

Anthony is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Suzanne Vidrine Doucet, of Port Barre, son, Johnny Doucet and wife, Brittany of Port Barre, daughter, Sonnye Doucet of Port Barre, brother Jessie Guillory and wife, Laurie of Port Barre, grandchildren, Lexie Myers, Ravyn Doucet, Owen Doucet, Benson Doucet, and Adelyn Doucet.

Anthony is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Ethelyn Devillier Guillory, biological father, James “Jimmy” Doucet, grandparents, Bervick Devillier and Lucy Devillier.
