James Davidson

Opelousas-A funeral service will be held for James Wayne Davidson on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Jerome Collins officiating.  Rite of Committal will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery.

James, age 75, a resident of Lawtell, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at Opelousas General Health System. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Jill Noelle Devillier of Port Barre. Three grandchildren, Brittany Mire, Macie Briscoe, and Harley Mire, Jr., and four great grandchildren, Macelynn Fontenot, Bently Fontenot, Kenzlee Briscoe and Blaisen Briscoe.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Davidson, and Evelyn Savoie, grandmother, Charlsie Bertrand, sons, Casey Scott Davidson and Harley Mire, brothers, Ronald "Preacher" Davidson, and Michael Davidson.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas. The rosary will be recited at 1:45 p.m. by Deacon Jerome Collins.
