Opelousas-Funeral service will be held for Jacob Adam Pitre on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 10:00 am in the SIbille Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Benny Reppond will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas.
Visitation will begin on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 12:00 pm until 10:00 pm, a prayer service will be held at 6:00 pm. On Saturday, July 18, 2026 visitation will resume at 8:00 am until time of service.
Jacob, born on July 18, 1991, in Opelousas, departed this life on July 7, 2026. His passing leaves a deep sense of loss among all who knew and loved him. He loved fishing, being a dad to his children, and also working on things.
He is survived by his parents, Randy Pitre of Opelousas and Stephanie Hendee of Opelousas, sons, Cameron Pitre of Cancero, Tyson Pitre of Opelousas, Tydus Pitre of Opelousas, and Kainen Pitre of Lafayette, daughter, Christlyn Pitre of Lafayette, sister, Hali Pitre and Alexis Pitre both of Opelousas.
He is preceeded in death by his grandparents, Nolton and Bobby Pitre, Karl Hendee and Kathleen Mounton, uncle Nicolas Percle, and cousin, Brett Meche.
Those who had the privilege to know Jacob remember him for his gentle spirit, integrity, and commitment to those he cared about. Though his time with us was too brief, Jacob’s presence touched many lives. He made his mark in small and significant ways, offering kindness and understanding to those around him and always striving to bring light into the lives he encountered.
Jacob cherished his roots in Opelousas, where he was born and began his journey through life. Throughout the years, he built meaningful relationships, cultivated his passions, and approached each day with a sense of honesty and respect for others.
He is remembered with warmth and appreciation for the memories he created and the legacy of sincerity and compassion he leaves behind. As we honor Jacob’s life, we reflect upon the impact of his presence and hold close the moments shared.
Jacob Adam Pitre’s absence will be keenly felt by all who had the honor of knowing him. May his memory remain a guiding light and source of comfort to those who mourn his passing.
Pallbearers will Brady Meche, Alexis Pitre, Baylie Meche, Steve Percle, Cameron Pitre, and Cody Pickney.
