J. Soileau

Opelousas - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018 for J. Brent Soileau at St. Peter Catholic Church in Grand Prairie. Reverend James Brady will officiate the Mass. Rite of Committal will follow in St. Andrew Cemetery in Plaisance.

J. Brent Soileau, age 63, a resident of Plaisance, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018.

Mr. Soileau was a past employee of Coburns in Opelousas, Opelousas Radio and Southern Pipe Company in Eunice.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Brenda Dupre Soileau of Plaisance; sons, Wade Soileau and wife, Kristen of Lafayette, Brett Soileau and wife, Sarah of Plaisance and Matt Soileau and wife, Bailey of Opelousas; brother, Curt Soileau and wife, Deannie of St. Gabriel; sister, Barbara Vidrine of Vinton; and grandchildren, Abby, Drew, Genevieve and Wyatt Soileau.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy and Effie Soileau; father and mother-in-law, Curley and Mavis Dupre; and brother-in-law, Lionel Vidrine.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas. A Rosary Service will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. by Deacon Dwayne Joubert. The funeral home will reopen from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Friday, April 6, 2018
