Herman Devillier

Port Barre- A Mass of Christian Burial, for Herman Devillier will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Herman, age 81, passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Opelousas General Health System. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife, of 55 Years, Lula Mae Fontenot Devillier, of Port Barre, daughter, Sharon Devillier Robin and her husband, Hilton of Port Barre, son, Joey Devillier and his wife, Sabrina of Moss Bluff, grandchildren, Matthew Dess Devillier, Mackenzie Devillier, Marlee Devillier, and Kelli Robin, two step grandchildren, Ryan Robin and Amber Robin, and 1 step great grandson, Carson Robin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dess and Edia Guidroz Devillier, brothers, Bervick, Kirby, Curley, Sanders, Gilbert and Murphy Devillier, sisters, Anna David, Edna Eppinette, and Ella Mae Millet.

The family requests visitation be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will resume on Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m. at the Sibille Funeral Home in Port Barre. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening in the Funeral Home Chapel.
