Heidi Spell

Opelousas- A Funeral Service will be held for Heidi Spell on Tuesday, February 08, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Pastor Ross Genger will officiate the funeral service. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington.

Heidi, beloved mother, sister, and friend passed away on February 03, 2022. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Heidi was an ordained minister for 10 years, for the United Methodist Church, she was also a librarian for the John Dupre Library in Port Barre since it opened in 2013. Heidi’s hobbies were her passion as a young girl, raising and breeding pigmy goats with her children.

Heidi is survived by her son, Jacob Spell and wife Leyla of Opelousas, daughter, Amanda Spell Young of Opelousas, brother, John Jasper Frostad of Spokan, Washington, sister Thelma Kelly Malcomb of Chatteroy, Washington.

Heidi is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Spell, parents, John and Lorraine Frostad.

Visitation will be on Monday, February 7, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas. Visitation will resume on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service.
