Heather Compton

Heather was a native of Port Barre, she attended Port Barre High until the time she left to go to National Guard Youth Challegne Program. She graduated the program and got her GED there. She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed by many.

She was the daughter of Donna Speyrer Richard and step-daughter to Todd Grimmett and daughter to James Ray Richard of Krotz Springs La. She was the sister to Josh Richard,  Devin Richard of Krotz Springs and  Cody Richard, wife Desiree of Melville, La. Was married to Bo Wells first and had 4 children. Then to David Compton and had 3 children. She was the mother to 7 children. 6 boys and finally1 girl. They are Robert Steven Wells  II of Port Barre, La and finacee Haven Lavergne. Justin James Wells, Jared Eugene Wells, and Gavin Ray Wells. David Wayne Compton II, Deston Ray Compton, Jasslyn Nicole Compton. Grandmother to her pride and joy, Brylie Renee Wells and Braxton Ray Wells. Her God children were Lexi Paige Lalonde, and Abigail Richard. Her Godparents were Debbie Prejean and Robert Speyrer. She had a lot of aunts and uncles. A ton of family and friends.

Preceded in death by her grandparents, Ray Speyrer, Henrietta Speyrer, and Gene Allen and Mildred Richard.
