Harold Credeur

August 12, 1942 — March 5, 2022

Port Barre – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Harold James Credeur on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre. Visitation will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service, a Rosary will be recited at 12:15 p.m. in the church. Fr. Clint Trahan will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Rite of committal will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Harold, age 79, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Opelousas General Health System. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

Harold is survived by loving wife of 55 years, Judy Scruggins Credeur of Port Barre, son, Dirk Credeur of Mississippi, daughter, Rhonda Credeur Guilbeau of Port Barre, granddaughter, Holly Guilbeau, Great grandchildren, Brayden Dugas, Myles Crawford, and Colson Crawford, brothers, Floyd Credeur of Port Barre and Raymond Credeur (Evelyn) of Port Allen, sisters, Anna Mae McBride of Texas, Beatrice Gayle of Baker, Annie Miller of Opelousas, Nelda Stelly of Opelousas and Gloria Higginbotham (Dean) of Port Barre, numerous nieces and nephews.

Harold is preceded in death by parents, Wilfred Sr., and Anita Credeur, sisters, Willie Mae Lalonde and Shirley Dupuis, brothers, Joseph “Fra” Credeur and Wilfred Credeur, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Dirk Credeur, Ragis Codori, Stanley Fontenot, Danny Ortego, Randal Dupuis and Dean Higginbotham.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brayden Dugas, Myles Crawford, and Colson Crawford.
