Greig Duplechain

Opelousas -A Funeral Service for, Charles Greig Duplechain, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Pastor Greg Gaspard of Unity Baptist church will conduct the service.

Greig, a resident of Port Barre, died on Sunday, January 21, 2018, at Opelousas General Health System, at the age of 63. He served his country proudly in the United States Army. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.

Greig is survived by loving wife of 17 1/2 years, Denise Elder Duplechain of Port Barre; children, Tricia Duplechain York, Victoria Duplechain Brown (Adam) both of Argyle, Texas; step children, Bejiman Faul (Shawna) of Rockwall, Texas, Sara Faul of Port Barre; brother, Lenus Duplechain, Jr. of Port Barre; sisters, Beverly Duplechain Baldridge of Lafayette and Burnella Jeffers of Port Barre; grandchildren, Jimmy Braxton York, Auston Luke York, Presley Susan Brown, Anderson Dane Brown, Caidon Lee Soileau, Maci Beth Soileau, Easton Charles Soileau, and Kyndal Grace Faul.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lenus and Helen Evans Duplechain; brothers, Jimmie and Wilbur Duplechain; step son, Nicholas Faul; and son-in-law, Jimmy Michael York.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 8:00 until time of service.
