Fannie Bryson

Opelousas- A Funeral Service will be held for, Fannie Lee Gaudet Bryson, on Monday, August 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Port Barre; with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Barre.

Mrs. Fannie, age 90, a resident of Opelousas and native of Port Barre, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2018, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home. In her earlier years she enjoyed traveling with her husband, Boe, and listening to Cajun music. Mrs. Fannie enjoyed passing the time with a good search word puzzle. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Marcel Bryson and wife, Irma; daughter, Barbara Bryson DeVillier and husband, Jack A.; brother, Bobby Gaudet and wife, Sybil; sisters, Wallie Olivier Andrus, Gayle Gaudet Standford, and Alice Gaudet; step-mother, Lois Harmon; grandchildren, Traci DeVillier Adams, Denise Bryson Hurley and husband, Tommy, Brandi Bryson Guerra and husband, Alex, and Josh Bryson and wife, Lindsey; nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Em "Boe" Bryson; parents, Mayonce Gaudet and Annebell Darby Olivier; step-father, V.J. Olivier; sister, Linda Olivier Elder; brother-in-laws, Donald Andrus and Ben Stanford.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Elder, Tommy Hurley and Josh Bryson. Honorary pallbearer will be Brent "Randy Boy" Adams.
