Eugenia "Genie" Bordelon

Opelousas - Funeral Services will be held for Eugenia “Genie” Bordelon, on Friday, June 16, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Pam Roy will officiate the service. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Genie, who was a resident of Opelousas, entered into eternal rest on June 12, 2023, at the age of 92.  

Genie is survived by her son, Matthew Bordelon and his wife, Joanna, her step-daughter, Sara Bordelon Rice and her husband, Mark, step son, Wayne Doucet; step-son, Danny Doucet, and wife Donna; step-daughter, Sharee Doucet Hunter , and husband Mike; step-daughter, Tina Doucet Wyble, and husband Mitch; grandchildren, Justin Perkins, Ezra Bordelon, Erich Bordelon, numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.

Eugenia is preceded in death by her father, Hicks Hillard Thoms, and her mother, Olive Pitre Thoms, first husband, Lionel (Tiny) Soileau, second husband, Gordon Bordelon,  her third husband, Charles (choo choo) Doucet, and sisters, Elizabeth (Betty) Dugal and Muriel "Elgie" Sutton

The family wishes to give special thanks to Prompt Succor Nursing Home and Traditions Hospice for their compassionate and loving care.
