Edna Credeur

Port Barre- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Edna Credeur at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2019, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre. Fr. Darren Eldridge will celebrate the Mass. Readers will be Jackie Goulas and Peggy Tate. Gift Bearers will Melodie Meche and Joeline Darby. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Leo Cemetery in Leonville.

Edna, age 90, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Hazel Benoit and her husband, Verlyn (Monkey) of Port Barre, Barbara Darby and her husband, Donald Richard of Sevierville, TN; son, Joseph A. Credeur and his wife, Mary of Port Barre; brother, Gilbert Guidroz of Hessmer, LA; sisters, Mary Alice Guidry of Cecila, Vivian Soileau of Port Barre and Rita Dupre of Port Barre; grandchildren, Melodie Meche, Kayla Fromenthal, Malanie Darby, Joeline Darby, Deja Roseberry and JoJo Credeur; great grandchildren, Reesa Bazar, Michon Delahoussaye, Rico Meche, Alanie Mier, Lesli Tujague, Baliey Tujague, Kelsey Landry Lavergne, Drake Fromenthal, Bryce Fromenthal, Payson Roseberry and Charles Roseberry;and great-great grandchildren, Levi, Liam and Anniston Bazar, Carter, Jaxon and Madison Lavergne.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Wilfred Credeur; parents, Elias and Averine Guidroz; brothers, Wilfred Guidroz, Wilson Guidroz; her twin brother, Edmond Guidroz; sisters, Elenor Stelly and Gertie Stelly; and grandchildren, Shelly Benoit and Jaylynn Roseberry.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at Sibille Funeral Home in Port Barre. The rosary will be recited by Fr. Clint Trahan at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening. The funeral home will reopen for visitation on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Joseph A. Credeur, Jason Goulas, Malanie Darby, Steven Craigg, Rico Meche and Charles Fromenthal.
