Earl was born on August 7, 1932 and began his new assignment on January 23, 2019. He entered his eternal destiny with dignity and grace surrounded by his family who loved him more than words could express. He will be dearly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him.

Earl was a native and long-time resident of Port Barre. He was an active member and Deacon of Courtaebleau Baptist Church. He was employed by St. Landry Parish School Board, as school bus driver for 23 years. He enjoyed spending time with family and helping anyone he could in any way possible. He was one of a kind and never met a stranger. He was a loving husband, father, papa, poppy, uncle and friend.

His spirt is carried on by his son, Leon Andrus and wife Karen, his daughters, Dianna Bourque and husband Gerald, Mary Berlin and Jerry Andrus all of Port Barre. Nine grandkids, Joey, Leon JR., Chrystal, Stacy, Abby, Chrissy, Jade, Michael and Jonathan and 14 great-grand kids. His sister Laura Lee Varnado; a host of nieces and nephews and dear friends.

He slipped away to join his loving wife, Ella Johnson Andrus of 58 years, his mother, Laura Charles, his father Wallace Andrus and his sister, Elise (Tu-Tu) Stelly in heaven.
