Opelousas Funeral services for Mrs. Dorsey Lee Lalonde Dauzat, 72, will be held at 11: 00 a.m. on Monday, October 22, 2007, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park. Pastor Benny Reppond will officiate the services.

Mrs. Dorsey, a loving mother, a caring friend, and a woman of faith, who loved laughter has passed away at 2:32 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2007, at St. Landry Extended Care of Opelousas. She was a native of Leonville and long-time resident of Opelousas. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her present husband, Florian Jr. Dauzat of Opelousas; and her former husband, Tonas Guillory of Port Barre; her three children: Paulette Guillory Olivier, Rachael Guillory, and Blane Guillory, all of Opelousas; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She is also survived by one brother, Dewey Black Lalonde and wife, Eva of New Roads; and one sister, Jenny Lalonde of Opelousas.

Mrs. Dorsey was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Josephine Aldegonde Leger Lalonde; and one sister, Juanita Bellow.

Visiting hours will be observed on Sunday, October 21, 2007, from 3 p.m. - 9 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Monday, visitation will continue in the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m.

A prayer service will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home.
