Dorothy Marks

PORT BARRE- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for, Mrs. Dorothy Leger Marks, on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre. Reverend Daniel Picard will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Marks, age 89, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home surrounded by her loving family. She was a dedicated member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Altar Society and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her sons, Danny Stoute and wife, Maxine, Charles "Keith" Marks and wife, Faith; sister-in-law, Anna Jane Marks; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Marks; parents, Eugene and Genevieve Guillory Leger; daughter, Jackie Lynn Stoute Frey; brother, Eugene Leroy Leger; sister, Lorena Leger Guillory and 1 grandson, Staff Sgt. Jarred Seth Fontenot.

The family requests visitation be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home in Port Barre. Reverend Daniel Picard will recite the rosary at 9:30 a.m.
