Opelousas, La Funeral services for Donald Fontenot,78, will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, November 13,2006, in St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas with burial in Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery, Opelousas, La.

Rev. Jeff Deblanc will conduct the services.

Mr. Fontenot, a resident of Opelousas, died at 11:47 am, Saturday, November 11, 2006 at Opelousas General Health System.

Mr. Fontenot served his country during World War 2 by serving in the U.S. Army. Mr. Fontenot was the manager of National Food Store here in Opelousas, La. He was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed not only by his family but all of his friends.

Survivors include: His wife, Yvonne F. Fontenot, Opelousas, La; Son, James Randy Fontenot and wife Paulette of Carencro, La; Daughters, Dianne Myers, Lafayette, La, Darlene Kachian, Opelousas, La; Brothers, John Irving Fontenot of Baton Rouge, La, James Jimmy Fontenot of Cankton, La, Shirley Ray Fontenot of Baton Rouge,La; Sisters, Jane Joubert of Opelousas, La and Neva Savoy of Baton Rouge, La. Mr. Fontenot is also survived by 7 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be observed from10:00 am until 9:00 pm, the Funeral Home will reopen at 8:00 am on Monday until time of Service. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM
