Opelousas- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Della Marie Guillory at 9:00 am in the St. Ann's Catholic Church in Mallett, La. Burial will follow in the St. Ann Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 8:00am until 9:00am in the St. Ann Catholic Church in Mallett, La.
Della, a very loving and caring person, passed away on April 5, 2026, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home. Born on February 1, 1942, Della's life was marked by kindness, compassion, and a genuine devotion to those around her.
Throughout her life, Della exemplified warmth and generosity, touching the hearts of family and friends alike. Her nurturing spirit and gentle demeanor made her a cherished presence in every community she was part of.
She is lovingly remembered by her brothers: Nelson Guillory and his wife Joyce of Shreveport; Harold J. Guillory and his wife Willie Mae of Opelousas; and Simon Guillory and his wife Doris of Opelousas. She also leaves behind her dear sister, Viola Guillory of Lake Charles. These close family bonds were a cornerstone of Della’s life, reflecting the deep connections she fostered with those she held dear.
Della was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Johnnie and Lousa Guillory, and her, brothers, Joseph Guillory and his wife Mary, Wilfred Guillory, Johnny Guillory and his wife, Joyce, sister, Melba Goodly and her husband Norris, whose legacy of love and strength undoubtedly shaped the remarkable woman she became.
As friends and family gather to honor Della's memory, they remember a woman whose caring nature and generous heart left an indelible mark. Her legacy of love lives on through her family, and the memories shared will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Della Marie Guillory will be deeply missed but fondly remembered as a beacon of love and kindness. Her life stands as a testament to the enduring power of compassion and the profound impact one individual can have on the lives of many.
