Debra B Graves, born on May 14, 1956, in White Castle, LA, bid farewell to this world on August 27, 2023, in Opelousas, LA. Her passing has left a profound void in the lives of her loved ones and friends. Debra was a remarkable individual who touched the hearts of everyone she encountered.

Debra's life was defined by her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. She cherished nothing more than spending quality time with her loved ones and was known for her dedication as a loving wife to Randy Graves. Together, they shared a bond that was enviable to all who knew them.

Born into the embrace of Alice Faye Mendoza and the late James "Tommy" Blanchard Sr., Debra grew up alongside her siblings James "Peckerwood" Blanchard Jr. (Angie) and Richard "Ricky" Mendoza (Cori). The strong family ties they fostered became an integral part of Debra's character and shaped her compassionate nature.

Debra's journey as a mother began when she welcomed her children, Michael James Blanchard (Megan), Gretchen Faye Vernon (Jory); step-son, Kevin James Graves (Connie Guidroz); and step-daughter, Keri Lynn Voisin (John). Her love for them was immeasurable, and she took great pride in their accomplishments. As a doting mother, she offered guidance and encouragement that empowered them to grow into exceptional individuals. Debra's nurturing spirit extended not only to her children but also to her beautiful grandchilden, Blaine G. Mitchell, Brynlee Blanchard, Kylie Blanchard, Jonathon Bowely, Enrique Flores, Celine Voisin, Kassidy Graves, Amie Graves ; her great-grandchild Kasch Vernon; as well as her bonus daughter, Stacey Terrebonne (Neil); bonus granddaughters, Maci O'quinn and Neili Terrebonne; and her bonus great-grandchildren, Remi Lyn O'quinn and Amora Reign Dozier.

Debra is preceded in death by her father, James "Tommy" Blanchard Sr.; her brother, Michael Troy Latiolas; her grandparents, Percy J. Delapasse and Hilda J. Delapasse; and her step-son, Wayne Mitchell Jr.

Beyond being a devoted wife and mother, Debra found solace in the simplicity of life. She loved immersing herself in nature through camping trips, allowing her to appreciate the beauty that surrounded her. The highlight of her day was seeing and spending time with her grandson, Blaine and seeing him laugh and smile. She also enjoyed her nightly phone calls to her mother, Alice. These moments allowed her to find serenity and create lasting memories with her family - memories that will forever be treasured.

Debra's presence brought joy to any gathering. Her infectious laughter and vibrant spirit made every family gathering, birthday celebration, or holiday special. She had a unique ability to make those around her feel cherished and loved. The impact she had on the lives of her family and friends cannot be adequately described, for words can hardly capture the depth of her spirit.

While we mourn Debra's departure from this world, let us remember the profound impact she had on our lives. Through her love and kindness, she left an indelible mark on our hearts that cannot be erased. Though her physical presence may be absent, her memory lives on through each person whose lives she touched.

As we bid farewell to Debra B Graves today, let us celebrate a life well-lived. Let us honor the beautiful soul who brought light into our lives with her unwavering love and empathy. May she find eternal peace in the embrace of heaven, forever remembered as a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
