Opelousas Funeral services for Christopher James Reed, 26, were held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, January 25,2006, in Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas with burial in Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery, Opelousas.

Mr. Reed, a resident of Opelousas, died at 8:02 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, 2006 at his residence. Christopher was a very loving son to his parents, and was loved by his siblings, his nephew and his grandparents. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him and loved him.

Survivors include: his father, Dr. Riley Reed, Jr. and wife Kathleen, of Opelousas; mother, Brenda Turner Morris and husband, Mike of Baton Rouge; paternal grandmother, Alma Reed, Opelousas; maternal grandfather, Fred Turner, Baton Rouge; brother, Jason Paul Reed and wife, Rebecca of Zachary; sister, Jessica Renee Reed of Ville Platte; nephew, Luke Austin Reed of Zachary; and step brothers, Tim Kordish of Lafayette; and Schuyler Kordish of Bayou Chicot.

Christopher was preceded in death by his grandfather, Riley Reed, Sr; and grandmother, Mildred Turner.

Visiting hours were observed Tuesday, January 24, 2006 from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Wednesday, visitation continued at 8:00 am until the service.
