A Memorial Service for Christopher Blair Quirk will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 1: 00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home. Fr. Clint Trahan will officiate the service.
Visitation will be on Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 10:00 am till 1:00 p.m.
Christopher Blair Quirk, born on March 2,1983, in Opelousas, Louisiana, passed away at his residence in Opelousas on April 28, 2026.
He loved the outdoors and found great joy in camping and fishing. These pursuits not only reflected his love of nature but also provided him with moments of peace and reflection that he treasured deeply.
Christopher is survived by his father, David Michael Quirk; his maternal grandfather, Harold Ortego; brother, Jonathon Paul Ortego (Dawn); sister, Christina “Tina” Quirk; and his aunts/uncles Robert Quirk, Jr, Leo Quirk (Jeannie), Paul Quirk (Carla), Darryl Quirk (Melissa), MiMi Wolfe (Robert), Karen "Kay" Sowyers, Tammy Ortego Soileau, Ricky Ortego (Renee), and Craig Ortego (Lisa), niece, Alyssa Lynn Leblanc and nephews, Jayden Michael Leblanc, and Benjamin Seth Leblanc.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Constance “Connie” Ann Ortego; brother, Benjamin Seth Quirk; paternal grandparents, Robert Webb & Ursula “Cindy” Quirk and material grandparent, Geraldine Melancon Ortego.
His passing leaves a profound void in the lives of those who were fortunate to know him. Christopher Blair will be remembered fondly for his gentle demeanor, and his love of the outdoors.
