Opelousas-- A funeral service will be held for Charlotte Aymond, on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 7:45pm. Fr. Clint will officiate the service. A visitation will be from 9:00 a.m., until time of Rosary at 7:30 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas.
Charlotte, a cherished caregiver and devoted family member, was born on May 6, 1965, in Lafayette. She passed away on June 8, 2025, at Ochsner Lafayette General Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness deeply felt by all who knew her.
Throughout her life, Charlotte dedicated herself to caring for others, a vocation that not only defined her career but also embodied her personality. Her love for her family and friends was palpable, and she brought joy to their lives in countless ways. Whether it was a warm smile or a patient ear, Charlotte had an innate ability to uplift those around her.
Charlotte had a deep affinity for the beach, where she found solace and happiness in the sound of the waves and the warmth of the sun. She loved to spend time with her family, cherishing every moment they shared together. As a diligent caregiver, Charlotte's nurturing spirit extended well beyond her professional life; it was a hallmark of her character.
She is survived by her mother, Elaine Aymond of Prairie Ronde; her sons, Daniel Stelly of Marysville, Washington, and Bryan Stelly of Church Point; her daughter, Amy Stelly of Leonville; her brother, Tony Aymond of Prairie Ronde; and her sister, Angela Aymond. She was a proud grandmother to her grandchildren, Mason Ryder, Madison Jones, Aiden Zerangue, Brylee Stelly, Brylor Stelly, Tinley Stelly, Braxton Stelly, and Abel Stelly, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her father, Howard Aymond. Her memory will remain alive through the love and affection of her family and friends, who continue to honor her life and the positive influence she had on their lives. She will be deeply missed, but the warmth of her spirit will forever be felt in the hearts she touched.
