Opelousas- A Funeral service will be held for Chandler Mitchell Olivier on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 1:00 pm in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, by Pastor David Remedios. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. A rosary will be recited by Deacon Dwayne Joubert at 6:00 pm on Thursday. Visitation will resume on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 8:00 am until time of service. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park.
Chandler Mitchell Olivier, age 26, a devoted businessman, community advocate, and lover of the outdoors, passed away on April 6, 2026. Chandler's life was a testament to dedication, hard work, and community spirit.
Chandler was a proud co-owner of Sunset Castrol and Crawfish Corner, establishments well-regarded in the local community. His entrepreneurial spirit was matched by his deep commitment to supporting local organizations. He was an active member of the St. Landry Chamber of Commerce, where he worked tirelessly to promote local business and foster economic growth. Additionally, Chandler contributed his time and energy to the Dustin Miller Senior Program, providing support and companionship to senior citizens. His compassionate nature also led him to participate in the "Breakfast with Santa" event for the Cerebral Palsy Center in Opelousas, where he helped bring joy and comfort to families in need. Beyond the local community, Chandler's enthusiasm extended to cultural events such as the Gator by Bay Zydeco Dance Festival in San Diego, California, reflecting his love for music and heritage.
Outside of his professional and community commitments, Chandler found great joy in hunting, fishing, and cooking. These hobbies not only allowed him to connect with nature but also offered moments of peace and personal fulfillment.
Chandler is survived by his wife, MacKenzee Olivier; daughter on the way, Beverly Ann Olivier; his father, Frank Mitchell Olivier and step-mother, Kelly Robinson; his mother, Kimberley Kelly and step-father, Shane Kelly; his in-laws, Elizabeth & Eric Primeaux and Steven & Jenee Desormeaux; paternal grandmother, Wanda Olivier; maternal grandparents, Glenn & Barbara LeDoux; brother, Carter Mitchell Olivier; step-brothers, Alex Kelly and Brandon Kelly; sister, Carsyn Olivier; Godparents, Scott Collins and Amy Lauret; aunts, Nicole Collins, Angie Luneau and Amy Lauret; uncles, Andrew Luneau, Charles Lauret, and Scott Collins; godchild, Beckham Hooks; and numerous cousins.
Chandler is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Frank Olivier; and his maternal great-grandfather, Milton Blanchard.
Pallbearers for the funeral service will be, Carter Olivier, Matthew Collins, Seth Bordelon, Max Collins, Alex Robin and Stephen Hebert. Honorary pallbearers will be, Seth Desormeaux and Owen Desormeaux.
Chandler Mitchell Olivier will be remembered for his entrepreneurial drive, his heartfelt community involvement, and his zest for life. His passing leaves a significant void among those who knew him and benefited from his kindness and dedication. Through his varied contributions and vibrant spirit, Chandler made a lasting impact on his community and those whose lives he touched.
