OPELOUSAS- A Celebration of Life will be held for Carol “Tootsie” Diaville Wheaton on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the First United Pentecostal Church of Opelousas.
Carol “Tootsie” Diaville Wheaton, born on February 6, 1963, entered into eternal rest on June 27, 2025. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters, Lillian Diaville (James) of Port Barre, and Christina Fisher of Convent, LA; brothers, J.C. Diaville of Ville Platte, Jimmy Diaville of Port Barre, and Clyde Diaville of Port Barre; sisters, Natalie Courville of Port Barre and Betty Savoie of Port Barre; 4 grandchildren, Erika Diaville, Cayleigh Diaville, Debra Stelly, and Abigail Fisher; 1 great-grandchild, Jonah; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Doris and Lillian Richard Diaville; sisters, Versie Diaville, Lois D. Prudhomme, and Barbara D. Naquin; and godson, Terrell Satterly.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Carol’s nephew, Timothy Savoie, Jr., for always taking care of her.
