Opelousas-Funeral service will be held for Carl James Belleau, on Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 2:00 pm in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Brother. Eric Hansen will officiate the service.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12:00 pm until time of service at 2:00 pm.

Carl James Belleau, of Opelousas, Louisiana, passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 73. At Ochsner Lafayette General Hospital in Lafayette.

Born on January 8, 1953, in Opelousas, Carl was a beloved presence in the life of his family and community. He will be remembered with respect and affection by those who knew him and shared in his life.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Barbara Lynn Belleau of Lawtell, son, Brent Belleau of Eunice, daughter, Donna Belleau of Texas, brother, Earl Belleau of Lawtell, one grandchild, JJ Epstein and her husband Joey of Texas.
