P Opelousas Funeral services for Mr. Bruce Michael Myers, 53, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2007, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the St. Landry Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas.
Msgr. Romero will conduct the services.

Mr. Myers, a native and long time resident of Opelousas, died at 3:41 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2007, in the Doctor's Hospital of Opelousas. He enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of St. Landry Catholic Church and a past member of the Knights of Columbus Council 11270. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include: two sons: Scott and Sean Myers, both of Opelousas; one daughter, Stacey Myers Bearb and husband, Blaine of Lafayette; two brothers: Randal Randy Myers and Christopher Chris Myers and wife, Monica; all of Opelousas; and one sister, Lynn Myers Dion and husband, Mickey of Nashville, TN.

Mr. Myers was preceded in death by his parents: Francis and Verna Miller Myers.

Visiting hours will be observed from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, April 8 In the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Monday, visitation will continue in the funeral home from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home.
