Brian G. Stanford, age 67, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, October 17th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Brian dedicated much of his life to the glass industry, where his strong work ethic and craftsmanship earned him the respect and friendship of many. Outside of work, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life – crawfishing with friends and family. Brian took pride in providing his large, homegrown crawfish to those that enjoyed it. Brian himself relished in bringing loved ones together over meals – cooking the meals outside of course–that were rich in flavor as they were in memory.
A hardworking and fun-loving man, Brian’s greatest pride and happiness came from his family. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 47 years, Mona (Dekerlegand) Stanford, his two beloved daughters and their husbands, Brandi and Mike Reed; and Shanon and Scott Reviere; and two grandchildren who brought endless light to his life, Max and Ian Reviere; and his brother and his wife, Terry and Gwen Stanford; brothers and sisters-in-laws: Mason, Mack, Norman, Mitch, Melvin, Marie, Melda, Marilyn, Margie and Melanie.
Brian is preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Violet Stanford, and his granddaughter, Brynn Reviere; his in-laws, Edna and Eddie Dekerlegand.
Brian will be remembered for his generous spirit, his laughter, many jokes, and the countless memories he created with those lucky enough to know him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his love and legacy will live on through his family and friends.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care, in particular Donnie and Brittany, along with his brother and sister in-law, Marilyn and Pip Angelle, who took great care of him the past few months; and Frank and Laura Albrecht, for their unwavering faith and spiritual guidance.
Words of Comfort to the family may be expressed at www.sibillefuneralhomes.com. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre.
