Betty Ann Aymond

Opelousas--A funeral service will be held for Betty Ann Aymond on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. by Deacon Dwayne Joubert, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service, a Rosary will be prayed at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Betty, a beloved homemaker and nurturing figure, passed away on September 29, 2025, at Lafayette General Hospital. Born on October 22, 1948, in Church Point, Louisiana, she was a beacon of love and care for all who knew her. Throughout her life, Betty embodied a spirit of devotion to her family and friends. 

She was a loving and caring person who cherished her role as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her husband of 60 years, Albert Aymond, Jr., remains of Washington, Louisiana, with whom she shared countless memories and a deep bond. 

Betty's legacy continues through her daughters, Cynthia (Cindy) Lanclos, who is engaged to Nelson Boudreaux of Opelousas, Lisa Collins, married to Tommy of Opelousas, and Shelia Credeur, married to Ellis "brother" of Washington, Brenda McCord husband, Frank Douglas of Groves Texas. She also leaves behind her daughter Kay Aymond and her fiancé William Henry, of New Iberia, as well as Kim Aymond of Washington. Brother, Jimmy Bourque (JoAnn)  of Sunset. Her family grew to include grandchildren Heather, Shelley, Scott, Holly, Kayla, Dylan and Sabrina, along with the joy of 13 great-grandchildren. Each of them held a special place in her heart, and she nurtured them with unwavering love and compassion.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Mabel Bourque; her sister, Mildred Pepitone; her son-in-law, Paul Wayne Lanclos; and her grandchild, Cody Lafleur. While she will be deeply missed, Betty Ann Aymond's legacy of love will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of her family and the many lives she touched throughout her journey.
