Arthur Latiolais

Lawtell - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for, Arthur Ray Latiolais, on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Bridget Catholic Church in Lawtell. Reverend Ted Broussard will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Latiolais, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Arthur served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a dedicated employee with Shine for many years. Arthur enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in his garden. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Barbara Woodson Latiolais; sons, Kevin Todd Latiolais, and his fiancé, Jessica Lalonde, John Shad Latiolais and wife, Shawne; brothers, Carrol Paul Latiolais and wife, Burnella, John Dale Latiolais and wife Elaine, Terry James Latiolais and wife, Ann; grandchildren, Jade Elaine Chachere and husband, Alex, John Nicholas Latiolais, Lane Todd Latiolais and Stewart Young; great-grandchildren, Leila Wallace, Briley Chachere, Amberly Young, Autumn Chachere and Ellie Chachere.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton Paul Latiolais and Verna Theriot Latiolais.

The family requests visitation be held on Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. by Johnny and Pat Bihm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, December 15, 2017 until 9:30 a.m.
