Mrs. Annette, age 93, has been a resident of Opelousas and a part of the Our Lady Queen of Angels family since the early 70’s. Mrs. Annette was devoted to her time as an Adoration volunteer at Queen of Angels, as well as a Eucharistic Minister.
Prior to her return to Louisiana in the early 70’s Mrs. Annette had spent over 20 years in the Chicago area. While staying with her older sister toward the end of World War II, and working at a factory in Chicago, she met the love of her life, Ed Verdino. They were happily married for 60 years. She will now be laid to rest beside him at Bellevue.
Mrs. Annette is survived by her very saddened three children: daughter Lucia Verdino, son Guy Verdino, Sr, and his wife Jane, and daughter Gail Verdino Feske, and her husband Tom. She will also be sorely missed by her loving grandchildren, Guy, Jr, and wife Susan, Gregory Verdino, and his wife Jennifer, Andrew Feske, and his wife Mary, and grandaughter, Sarah Feske. Additionally, she is survived by her three great grandchildren, Olivia, John, and Catherine. Mrs. Annette’s love of her many nieces and nephews has always been well known, and she will be greatly missed and remembered by them.
