I was shocked and very sorry to hear of Barney's passing. I've known Barney as far back as I can remember. Barney, his parents, and siblings have been our neighbors in Port Barre as far back also. Although they lived near the Bayou Courtableau Road, their land abutted ours furnishing many good memories. Barney was one of the finest individuals I've ever known and he will be missed by many especially his family. My most heartfelt prayers and condolences are extended to his family and friends. RIP Old Friend!

    To Barney's family,
I have so much respect and admiration for Barney and lovely departed wife, Ms. Maggie. I remember the days as a young boy waiting tables and waiting on his family to come eat lunch after church services. The entire family would come to the Wheel-burger aka Zoo Zoo's for lunch. They were all so very God loving and kind. My condolences to the family.....
