Opelousas-Lorraine Elizabeth Mestayer Boudreaux passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on Thursday, March 4, at her son’s home in League City, TX. She was born in Kaplan on June 7, 1919. She was preceded in death by her parents, Percy Oscar Mestayer and Norma Summers Mestayer Gardiner; her husband, James S. Boudreaux; her sisters, Rose Marye Bienvenu and Dolores Perkins; and an uncle, A. M. Smith Jr.
She is survived by her sons, James S. Boudreaux Jr. and his wife, Jackie, of Mandeville; Michael D. Boudreaux and his wife, Cathy, of League City, TX; Edward R. Boudreaux and his wife, Margaret, of Baton Rouge; Larry P. Boudreaux and his wife, Tahati, of Belle Chasse; her daughters, Rose Marye Boudreaux and her husband, Jim Bradshaw, of Washington, LA, and Norma Leah Allen and her husband, John, of San Antonio, TX; fifteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas Tuesday March 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by private graveside services led by Father Paul Bienvenu for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Acadiana.
